THE PADELLERS

THE PADELLERS is part of the WAZ project developed for Greyfield in Essen.

In this project, former newspaper printing halls were transformed into a new padel club. The aim was to reactivate an unused industrial property and convert it into a vibrant space connected to sport and community.

The intervention preserved the industrial identity of the building while adapting it to the technical requirements of a contemporary sports facility. The existing spatial strength was maintained and complemented by a clear and functional architectural intervention, creating a dynamic and efficient user experience.

Developed for Greyfield, the project demonstrates how adaptive reuse can generate new functions, revitalize urban environments, and give historic buildings a coherent second life.
